Church! Why go?
American Teens Faithful to Church
American teenagers continue to be more faithful as churchgoers than their parents, according to recent Gallup poll data. Some 43 percent of 13-17-year-olds worship weekly compared with 38 percent of adults - a disparity that has persisted for the past 25 years. So it's unlikely the typical American teen is just being dragged to church by his or her parents.

MASTER'S MOMENT
Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth. Proverbs 27:1(NIV)
How often do you have big plans for tomorrow? Plans are readily made but there is no certainty those plans will come to fruition. Sometimes you will hear people graciously say, “We will be there, Lord willing.” In My Utmost for His Highest, Oswald Chambers wrote: “To be certain of God means that we are uncertain in all our ways, we do not know what a day may bring forth. This is generally said with a sigh of sadness, it should be rather an expression of breathless expectation.” You cannot go though life without making plans but, as you know, each day brings surprises of its own and you need to ask God to prepare you for those challenges. Don’t get so busy that you are oblivious to God’s agenda. Stay expectant for the lessons and blessings he has for you today.
Today's PrayerHeavenly Father, equip me for the challenges of each day. Teach me to obediently open my heart to your direction and listen expectantly for those things you want me to do, learn or experience.
"O Lord, make me an instrument of Thy Peace! Where there is hatred, let me sow love; Where there is injury, pardon; Where there is discord, harmony; Where there is doubt, faith; Where there is despair, hope; Where there is darkness, light, and Where there is sorrow, joy. Oh Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love; for it is in giving that we receive; It is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life." -Saint Francis of Assisi
