Holidazzle Parade

    • Cinderella's ride
      Cinderella is one of the lighted treasures on wheels during the 1999 Holidazzle parade. She is walked down the street by six footmen and is followed by a life-size pull-toy.
    • Santa's watching
      At the end of the parade is what every child waits for - Santa Claus. Santa is preceeded by a family of snowmen and is followed by 12 lighted snowflakes and two people in their pajamas.
    • The ultimate present
      Sixteen lighted jingle elves bring the largest gift down Nicollet Mall. In front of them is the Santa Bear in his sleigh, pulled by a real pony.
    • Wishbone reads to Minneapolis
      The popular children's television show, "Wishbone," makes an appearance at the 1999 Hollidazzle parade. Riding on the float are Tom Sawyer, Huck Finn, Robin Hood, Sherlock Holmes and Romeo and Juliet.
    • The circus comes to town
      One of the new floats this year, the Circus Train carries eight children dressed in animal costumes. The train comes complete with a caboose, a family of clowns and Raggedy Ann and Andy.
    • Parade of lights
      The eighth season of Holidazzle in Minneapolis began the day after Thanksgiving, November 26, and runs through December 23.
