Winter Carnival 2000
- Winter wilderness
Army soldiers were on hand to show us how to properly use a stove in a tent, keep warm inside on the floor covered with hay, and how to build a campfire.
- Winter playground
Children loved playing in the winter playground. Many were having an adventure hiding in the tunnels.
- The giant slide
Giant slides at Como Park in St. Paul, MN, were another Winter Carnival attraction. Families lined up to get a sled before walking up to the hill for their rides. This was a hit with children.
- Ice maze
Adults and children loved walking around inside the Ice Maze.
- Project Snow Hippo
This team wanted to save the extinct snow hippos. Their project was outlined on the boards for curious passers-by. Visitors had a good chuckle reading their story.
- Snow Hippo: Part two
The Project Snow Hippo team were hamming it for other competitors. Their work was not yet completed.
- Monster under the bed
This sculpting team was taking a lunch break. The small clay model of their design is on the table, right next to the person in the blue jacket.
- Hard worker
This was one of the many sculptures seen at the Winter Carnival in St. Paul, MN.
- Can you find your way out?
Ready, set, go! See if you can find your way out of this ice maze!
- Oh oh!
This little tot was seen hiding from his parents. Guess he was having too much fun and didn't want to leave yet!
